keeping track

With some encouragement from my parents, I picked up a GPS tracking device for my trip and got it fired up today.

This handy little thing tracks my movement and allows me to send various types of messages including check-ins, personalized messages, a "help" message out to a select group of contacts and even an S.O.S. signal to the closest US Embassy, emergency response groups in the area and my emergency contacts. Pretty cool safety net and way for people to keep track of where I've been.

I'm officially on "last" time now. This is my last Sunday night before I leave. Tomorrow's also my last Monday at work. While I'm will miss the feeling of a Sunday night at home, I can't say the same for the Monday morning feeling.
